Diamond Lake Fishery Flourishes:2020 Survey Results
A comprehensive fish survey conducted in spring 2020 assessed the overall health of all fish species in Diamond Lake, with a particular focus on evaluating the success of Walleye stocking and the status of Northern Pike populations.
The findings reveal that Diamond Lake's fish population remains robust despite a minor fish kill in 2019. The lake hosts a diverse array of species with particularly strong growth rates in Walleye. Recent surveys indicate successful recovery and stocking efforts, underscoring a stable and thriving fish community.
The Diamond Lake Association (DLA) remains committed to collaborating with the DNR to ensure that lake health initiatives, such as weed treatments, do not negatively impact the fish population. The DLA Fishery is in excellent condition. Please take a few minutes to read the full report.
