The Diamond Lake Association would like to thank all of the volunteers who assisted with the Canada Goose round-up this year.
A total of 45 Canada Geese were collected and are currently being transported to a Michigan bird sanctuary (there were 3 additional geese that fought for their freedom and won). The sanctuary is a considerable distance from Diamond Lake which helps ensure that the geese do not return at a later time.
A total of 43 eggs were also collected. This means that 88 Canada Geese will not be returning to Diamond Lake next year.
