Some of the ways the Diamond Lake Association Builds Up The Community

  • The DLA is representing the Lake in assisting with the new Cass to Vandalia bike path as well as working to complete the Lake Loop on the south side

  • The DLA is working with Cass County to impose reasonable speed limits around the lake

  • Donations to local organizations Helping Hands and CASA

  • Sponsor the Fireworks annually through the generous donations of lake residents

  • Partnering with the Sheriff’s office conduct an annual boater safety class to qualify new boaters to operate their boats and PWC’s.

  • Work with professional outside agencies to monitor the lake for invasive weeds and to take action to control the damage these weeds could do to the lake.

  • Maintain the low water buoy program to assist with safe boating

  • Regularly publish timely communications regarding safety or navigational issues on the Lake

  • Coordinate with the Cass County Sheriff and DNR to ensure appropriate law enforcement coverage during peak times
